Spring in the Sierra

By late spring the snowpack retreats and it's time to put away the snow shoes and skis, as well as our sleds. Once the trails in Tahoe & Lassen National Forest have dried up and the mud disappears, we're back to running our Alaskan Malamute team with the ATV.

Show training begins in April and we look forward to our evening conformation classes in Reno, followed by a stop at our favorite Thai restaurant before the long drive home.

An ongoing project: The construction on our new home! It's off the grid and surrounded by national forest and private timber land. The property is located at a higher elevation--around 7,000 ft. with good access to trails for sledding, hiking and cross-country skiing. Work will continue through next year.
