The Snowlion Outlook
Our view of the world of dog shows and breeding-- although we have produced over 40 champions, numerous specialty, group-winning, and Best in Show malamutes, showing is not our main interest, nor is it the exclusive focus of our breeding program. Our Malamutes are primarily companions: they share our home, our lives, our hearts. Snowlion Malamutes are extremely social and prefer to live as house dogs.
Snowlion Alaskan Malamutes are the result of a highly selective breeding program which has produced a unique, classic look. It is the culmination of many years of hard work choosing the best dogs to breed and then carefully evaluating their offspring.
Our goals are to preserve the working ability of the breed and to provide ourselves with well-bred companions. After all, the time spent in the show ring is fleeting compared to the days our dogs live as family members and our closest friends. We are committed to breeding long-lived dogs with sound bodies and gentle souls. Our selective breeding program also highlights qualities that are important for a sled dog. We look for natural atheletes; quick learners with a happy, outgoing personality; most of all, we select dogs who get along readily with others. The characteristics that make these malamutes good working dogs, also make them good family companions.

Snowlion Malamutes are product of our unique outdoor lifestyle which embraces all that the mountains have to offer: sledding, snowshoeing, hiking, skiing--a lifestyle where the dogs occupy a central part of our lives.
We feel our pups are born in to the best possible home; they deserve nothing less from their future
owners.
